Patrick Mahomes is so dedicated to his rehabilitation from a torn ACL and LCL that he takes a trainer with him even during family weekends. This commitment began shortly after his surgery in mid-December, when he started the rehabilitation process just one day post-operation.
According to Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, Mahomes is “way ahead of schedule” in his recovery. He has been present at the team facility every single day since the surgery, demonstrating a work ethic that inspires those around him.
Veach noted, “He’s in our building every single day. And even when he goes away for a few days, say to Dallas for a weekend with his family, he takes one of our trainers with him.” This level of dedication illustrates Mahomes’ determination to return stronger than ever.
Mahomes has a history of quick recoveries; he previously bounced back from a dislocated knee in just three weeks. The Chiefs are currently evaluating his potential participation in offseason activities and training camp. However, there are concerns about protecting him from overexerting himself during this critical period.
As the NFL offseason progresses, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely. Many are eager to see how Mahomes’ rigorous training regimen will translate on the field as he aims for a full recovery before the upcoming season.
