The St. Louis Cardinals are making headlines as they prepare for the 2026 season, with key updates regarding player health and broadcasting changes. Lars Nootbaar recently underwent offseason surgery in October to address Haglund’s deformities in both heels, leaving fans eager to know when he will return to the lineup. Details remain unconfirmed.

In a significant shift, the Cardinals announced new television channels for the upcoming season after ending their partnership with FanDuel Sports Network. Fans can expect most Cardinals games to be produced by Major League Baseball, providing a fresh viewing experience.

For those within the team’s television territory, traditional cable and satellite providers will continue to offer access to Cardinals games. Charter/Spectrum viewers can find the games on channel 233, while AT&T U-verse fans can tune in on channel 1746. DirecTV subscribers will catch the action on channel 672, and Comcast/Xfinity viewers can watch on channel 1261.

For fans outside the Cardinals’ television footprint, MLB.TV offers a convenient option, with subscriptions priced at $29.99 per month or $149.99 for the entire season. “The easiest way to watch the team is to buy a subscription to MLB.TV,” a source noted, emphasizing the accessibility of games for dedicated fans.

Additionally, the Cardinals are introducing Cardinals.TV, presented by bet365, allowing fans to watch games on smart TVs, smartphones, or other connected devices. This service can be purchased for $99.99 for the full season or $19.99 per month, providing flexibility for viewers.

The broadcast team will feature play-by-play announcer Chip Caray and analyst Brad Thompson, bringing their expertise to the Cardinals’ games and enhancing the viewing experience for fans.

As the Cardinals enter the 2026 season, they are not only focusing on player health but also on improving how fans engage with the team through these new broadcasting options. With a new-look roster and leadership, the excitement is palpable.

As the season approaches, fans are left wondering how these changes will impact the team’s performance and viewing experience. The anticipation builds as the community rallies behind their beloved Cardinals, eager to support them in the upcoming season.
