Who is involved

In a significant shift for baseball fans in Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Brewers have announced the launch of Brewers TV, a new broadcasting service that will enhance how fans experience their favorite team. This development marks a departure from previous broadcasting arrangements, as the Brewers transition from FanDuel Sports Wisconsin to Major League Baseball (MLB) productions. The announcement was made on March 26, 2026, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.

Prior to this change, fans relied on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin for their Brewers game coverage. Expectations were high for a seamless viewing experience, but the transition to Brewers TV promises to elevate that experience significantly. With the new service, fans can look forward to improved production quality and a variety of subscription options tailored to their viewing preferences.

The decisive moment came with the announcement of specific cable and satellite channels designated for Brewers game broadcasts. Fans can now tune in to channel 1263 on XFinity, 670 on DirecTV, and 1743 on U-Verse, among others. Spectrum customers will find varying channels depending on their local system, including options like 308, 1308, 319, 317, and 469. This broad accessibility ensures that fans across different platforms can easily find their way to the games.

Brewers TV will not only broadcast all locally-distributed regular season games but will also feature elevated production elements that have been pioneered across MLB in recent seasons. Brian Anderson will lead the play-by-play coverage, with Jeff Levering contributing to the broadcasts. The opener against the Chicago White Sox on March 26, 2026, at 1:10 p.m. CT, will showcase these new production techniques, including live drone camera and wire cam, enhancing the viewing experience for fans.

For those looking to subscribe, Brewers TV offers three packages: a season subscription for $99.99, a monthly option for $19.99, or a full MLB.TV package for $199.99, which includes all out-of-market games. This flexibility in pricing allows fans to choose the option that best suits their needs, making it easier for everyone to stay connected to the team.

The impact of this transition is already being felt among fans and local broadcasters. The opener is one of 10 games this season that will be simulcast on over-the-air channels, including WITI-TV (Channel 6) in Milwaukee. This means that even those without cable subscriptions can still catch the action, fostering a sense of community and engagement among Brewers supporters.

Experts believe that this move will not only enhance the viewing experience but also strengthen the relationship between the team and its fans. As one expert noted, “Brewers fans can locate where and how to watch games depending on the video distributor they utilize.” This adaptability is crucial in today’s diverse media landscape, where fans have varying preferences for how they consume sports content.

As the season unfolds, streaming service Fubo is also offering a free trial for new subscribers, allowing even more fans to experience the excitement of Brewers games. With 12 scheduled exclusive national broadcasts this season, the Brewers are poised to make a significant impact in the world of sports broadcasting. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional features or changes that may arise as the season progresses, but one thing is clear: Brewers TV is set to transform how fans engage with their beloved team.
