Meanwhile, in the world of athletics, Austin Peay State University’s softball team faced a setback as they dropped a 10-4 decision to Central Arkansas. Austin Peay started strong, scoring the first two runs of the game in the top of the first inning, but Central Arkansas responded powerfully, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take control of the game.
Alanah Jones pitched for Austin Peay, tossing 2.0 innings and striking out three batters, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor. The team will be looking to regroup and improve in their next outing.
